How to Temporarily Lock your PC when Someone Enter Wrong Password

When you are away from your desk somebody (colleagues,friends) may try to login into your computer by guessing your password.We will use windows security settings to temporarily lock your computer if wrong password entered more than couple of times.This will make it harder to guess your password as after 3 wrong passwords your system will get locked for 30 minutes

How to Lock your PC when After Wrong Password Attempt:-

• In the Start up search box type Local Security Policy and press enter.

• From the left window pane expand Account Policies and select Account Lockout Policy option in it.
• Now in the right window pane look for the Account lockout threshold option anddouble click on it.

• A new window will be open and give the value after how many invalid password attempts you want to lock your computer.

• Click on Apply button and a window will be open telling you Account will lock down for 30 minutes. You can also change the time settings by clicking on the Reset account lockout counter according to your need.
• Now click OK.

That’s it. Now your computer will be temporally locked for some time that you had set in the settings when someone will enter wong password.

An ISO image (International Organization for Standardization) is an archive file (also known as a disc image) of an optical disc, composed of the data contents of every written sector of an optical disc, including the optical disc file system.These ISO images can be easily burned to DVD or CD’s. They can also be mounted so that computer will treat them as a actual optical disk.If you
want to create a bootable DVD/CD for your windows operating system then you have to create an ISO image of the windows Setup before burning it to DVD/CD.There are large number of softwares available to create ISO images but most of them are paid and large in size. By using this trick you can create an ISO image from a freeware utility.


STEPS TO FOLLOW:-

• First of all download ISO Recorder from here (800 KB) and install it.
• Now go to your Folder for which you want to create an ISO file.
• Right click on that Folder and choose Create ISO Image File option.

• In pop pop up window, browse the location where you want to save this .iso (image) file and click on the next button.

• After this you will see a message saying like this Operation has been completed and click on the finish button.

• Now go to the location where you had save the .iso file and you will see a image file.

To open these ISO files, software like WinRAR, Daemon Tools, Power ISO etc. are needed.
